The Department of Physics was established as a separate department under the ICFAI Science School in August 2018. Since its inception, the Department has nurtured young scientific minds toward the beauty of physics through sincere perseverance and hard work. The Department consists of highly qualified faculty members actively involved in cutting-edge research in various emerging fields and developing state-of-the-art technologies. With their dedication and meticulous care, the dynamic faculty members have been involved in breeding a genre of students who can independently think and excel in their area of choice.

Presently we are offering Bachelor (B.Sc-Honors), Master (M.Sc), and Doctorate (Ph.D.) programs. Students have been encouraged to join various esteemed institutions for their internship projects. Masters Projects are being conducted in numerous active research areas utilizing the Departmental facilities. The Department conducts many seminars throughout the year to keep the students well informed about the recent trends in research, enhance their presentation/academic skills, and the ability to entrepreneurship. We aim to impart a quality education and research environment to the students that would lead to their overall development in next coming years. The Department of Physics envisages itself becoming a Center of Excellence in the near future under the hood of The ICFAI University Tripura.
