Einstein Hawking Talk 2024

The Department of Physics, The ICFAI University Tripura, will organize an Invited Talks on March 14 , 2024 to commemorate the contributions of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking in the field of Physics. This is the birthday of Albert Einstein and coincidentally, Stephen Hawking passed away on the same day. Everyone is welcome to participate in the event.

LECTURE SERIES ON THE APPLICATION OF QUANTUM SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

The Department of Physics, ICFAI University Tripura, is going to organize a series of lectures on Quantum Computation in collaboration with TCG-CREST, Kolkata. The first lecture will be held online on 05 March 2024 at 16:45. The speaker is Dr. Sudhindu Bikas Mandal, Scientist, TCG-CREST, Kolkata. The talk is titled "Quantum Computing and Machine Learning." The second lecture, entitled "Quantum Information and Computation", will be delivered by Prof. Pankaj Agarwal, Scientist, TCG-CREST, Kolkata, on 07 March 2024 at 16:45. Everyone is cordially invited to attend the Google Meet sessions.

Parent-teacher meetings

The Department of Physics, ICFAI University Tripura, is going to organize parent-teacher meetings on 20/03/2024 to discuss the SWOC (Strength-Weakness-Oppurtunity-Challenges) of the students at 2:30 PM. The department is inviting all the parents of all the current batch students on the day.

National Science Day 2024 celebration

The ICFAI University Tripura is going to celebrate National Science Day 2024 on February 28, 2024. The theme of this year is "Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat". There will be Quiz competition, Sit and Draw competition,
Poster competition, Science Model building competition, Presentation competition, and Best out of waste competition. Students from different schools and colleges across Tripura participate in these events.

Inviting students to participate in the ISRO-START program

The ICFAI University Tripura has been selected as a nodal center for the Space science and Technology Awareness Training (START) programme organized by ISRO. The START programme aims to provide a basic training in space science and technology to the young minds of our country. Through this programme, students will also learn about Indian space exploration programmes and research opportunities. Students from all the institutions in Tripura are welcome to participate.

Eligibility: Post-graduate students and final year undergraduate students of physical sciences (Physics and Chemistry) and technology (e.g. Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Applied Physics, Radiophysics, Optics & Opto-electronics, Instrumentation and other associated subjects) studying in Indian educational institutes/Universities/Colleges.

Mode: Online live classes organized by ISRO. Eminent scientists from ISRO, IISERs, IITs, TIFR and other prestigious institutions will deliver lectures.

Internship Program 2023

The Department of Physics, The ICFAI University Tripura, is going to start the Internship Program from 29 May, 2023. The orientation program for the Internship Program is scheduled on 23 May, 2023 from 10:30 am. The IP registration in-charge for B.Sc. Physics first year (Room No. 222) is Prof. Bibhabasu De, B.Sc. Physics second year (Room No. 223) is Dr. Gobinda Pradhan, and M.Sc. Physics first year (Room No. 118) is Dr. Tuhin Subhra Mukherjee.

Plasma exhibition

The Department of Physics, The ICFAI University Tripura, will organize a Plasma exhibition in association with Institute for Plasma Research. Main attractions are going to be the live plasma exhibition, workshop, popular talk, Quiz, and Gaming. There will be participants from the whole North-Eastern parts of India.

The Department of Physics, The ICFAI University Tripura, is going to organize a series of talks on April 12-14, 2023 to celebrate World Quantum Day 2023. The speakers are Dr. Sayan Bayan from Rajib Gandhi University, Dr. N. Shanthi, from Jain University, and Prof. Saurabh Basu from IIT Guwahati.
